Dr. Hoying is originally from West Union, Ohio. She attended Shawnee State University, where she graduated cum laude in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Medicine) and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Hoying focuses on medical optometry, including diabetic and hypertensive eye disease, macular degeneration, and dry eye. She partners with patients to manage conditions and educate them on maintaining healthy vision. She explains eye disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in clear, understandable terms.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.
